ESTIMATING

The ABBASOFT Technologies Estimating module calculates estimated materials, labor, burden, and profit for any prospective job. Existing Bills of Material and Routers can be copied and adjusted for estimation and "pegged" to quotes created in the Quote Tracking module. Estimated product cost reports are the result of the Estimating module. The Estimating module requires input from the Bills of Material and Router Control modules. It can also be integrated with Manufacturing (Job Cost), Order Processing, Quote Tracking, and What If Estimation modules.

Estimating Features

The Operation Code Entry option allows definition of a particular process with up to ten lines of description for use in Routers. Set-up time, Run-time, and Move-time for the process can be included along with the Work Center where the process is performed.

Work Center definition includes work center rate (dollars), outside processing costs, number of shifts per day, work center capacity, and percentage of efficiency.

Burden set-up records burden percentage rates and dollar limits for Labor, Materials, and Outside Processing. Materials burden is divided into Bought and Manufactured materials, each with descriptions, burden percentages, and dollar limit values.

Router Card Entry assembles operation codes and their associated work center and costs into a sequence of events that facilitate any production. Changes in operation sequence are easily made at any time. Routers can also be locked or released for production control.

Estimated Bills of Material and Routers can be created from existing BOM's and Routers or from scratch. Quotes created in the ABBA Quote Tracking module are used for estimated BOM's and Routers, allowing BOM's and Routers to be assigned to a specific line item of a quote, improving the accuracy of the quoting process.
