STANDARD COST

The ABBASOFT Technologies Standard Cost module establishes and calculates standard costs for parts in inventory. Calculate Test, Current or Cumulative Standards options can be performed for individual or all parts using the Bill of Material and Router Control modules for costing input. A Product Cost report prints detailed information for the parts.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Definition of Product Costs.
  • Automatic Cost Rollups.

Standard Cost Features

Maintain new and old part standards for any part with Labor, Materials, and Outside Processing costs plus burden associated with any of the three categories. Total cost and the date the standard was last changed is also displayed automatically.

Detailed item specifications that include part types, scrap percentages, lot or serial tracking, obsolete status, bin number, receiving inspection, and product categories provide extensive on-line information at a glance.

Quantity status is maintained in the Part Master file for:

  • Quantity On-hand
  • Quantity in Receiving Inspection
  • Quantity on Purchase and Work Orders
  • Total Required
  • Total Committed
  • Total Available

Calculate Test, Standard, or Cumulative Standards allows one single part or all parts to be rolled up through a single option. Information from the Bill of Materials, operation, work center, and router are used to calculate the new standard cost for the part. A listing to the terminal shows individual costs by part for:

  • Part Number
  • Labor§ Material
  • Outside Processing
  • Burdens
Values produced through the calculation standards are automatically entered into the part master record and the Part Standard records for each part are updated, shifting current costs for a part into the "old" standard cost.

A product cost report provides detailed cost information to the printer for one or all parts. The report can be generated for any number of assemblies and includes:

  • Quantity required to build quantity
  • Material cost with optional display of BOM

Labor and Outside costs with:

  • Set-up Time
  • Run Time

Extension TotalsBurden Costing for:

  • Labor
  • Materials
  • Outside Costs

Total costs for material, labor, outside processing, and burden are displayed and totaled for a final product cost per unit for the quantity required. Gross Margin Percentage can be automatically calculated into the sell price, also displayed on the Product Cost Report.

Other detailed reports to the terminal or the printer show master file information for parts, part standards, and product categories.
