Downloading from Web Site: Partner, Net&Web Partner - All files are contained in Self-Extacting Zip file called R190100B.exe NetPartner & Web Partner - All Web Server Files are contained in the Self-Extracting Zip file R190100BNP.exe Depending on your Internet connection speed this download should take between 1 and 10 minutes. 2. You must be on 18.2.0 or higher before you do this upgrade. 3. These download files are ONLY for D3 systems. If you are currently on AP/PRO or earlier you must contact ABBASOFT to request a special cut to be sent on Floppy Disks or DAT Tape. 4. For UNIX Systems you must first download the files to a Windows based system, then follow the instructions to transfer the file to UNIX. Partner & Netpartner Installations: 1. From the web site click on the file R190100B.exe, this will start the download to your local system. 2. You will be prompted for a location to save the file to. (Generally you would want this to be a place easily found I.E. C:\Download) 3. Through Windows, go to the folder you saved the file and double-click on the file to uncompress them. 4. Select to Unzip to uncompress the files to a directory The default is C:\windows\Temp, however you can change that to another directory. 5. Enter the password when prompted. If you do not have a password you must contact ABBASOFT Technical Support before continuing. 6. (NT) Create 2 new tape devices from TCL DEV-MAKE -T Tape -A "X:\path\R190100F.d3,P" and DEV-MAKE -T Tape -A "X:\path\R190100.d3,P" Where X is the Drive Letter on NT the files are located Where path is the directory path(I.E. download) (UNIX) Go to a Command Prompt on the Window's Machine Change to the Directory you extracted the files to I.E. (C:\windows\temp) Type: ftp unix ip.address (where unix.ip.address is the ip address of the unix server Enter in your unix logon name (ie root) Enter in your unix password Type: cd unix.directory (I.E cd tmp) Type: bi Type: put R190100.d3 Type: put R190100F.d3 Type: bye Make the Devices for the new pseudotapes At TCL: Type chg-device 1 name=/tmp/R190100F.d3 type=floppy density=pseudo 7. Install the Pre-Upgrade From TCL Attach the file R190100F.D3 using the following command SET-DEVICE ## Where ## is the device # that was assigned in Step 1 From TCL do the following commands T-LOAD MD ABBA_PREUPGRADE (O ABBA_PREUPGRADE You should get a message that says ----------------------------------- RELEASE 19.1.0 Pre-Upgrade Complete ----------------------------------- If not then contact ABBASOFT Technical Support before continuing 8. Install Upgrade as Normal Trans-Update from the Installtion Menu Option #53 Using File: R190100.D3 The File Counts Should be as follows: BP-TO-CUSTOMER - 427 DICT-TO-CUSTOMER - 2014 EBP-TO-CUSTOMER - 11 EZMENU-TO-CUSTOMER - 16 RPTD-TO-CUSTOMER - 116 PR-TO-CUSTOMER - 2 SCR-TO-CUSTOMER - 96 TABLE-TO-CUSTOMER - 252 W3EZMENU-TO-CUSTOMER - 26 W3HTML-TO-CUSTOMER - 3 W3JAVA-TO-CUSTOMER - 3 9. (optional)Once the Upgrade process is complete you may remove the Devices in D3 by entering the following command at TCL DEV-REMOV M# Where # is the Tape Device # to remove. 10. Since some main System programs have been updated you will need to logoff and then log back into the account. NETPARTNER Installations Only: 1. From the web site click on the file R190100NP.exe, this will start the download to your local system. 2. You will be prompted for a location to save the file to. (Generally you would want this to be a place easily found I.E. C:\Download) 3. Through Windows, go to the folder you saved the file and double-click on the file(s) to uncompress them. 4. Select to Unzip the files to a directory The default is C:\windows\Temp, however you can change that to another directory. 5. Enter the password when prompted. If you do not have a password you must contact ABBASOFT Technical Support before continuing. 6. Open the folder called NetPartner on the directory you saved it to This contains the updated Web Server Files(Documentation, Images..) If this is a new Installation copy over all the folders If this is an upgrade open each folder and copy over the following files answering yes to overwrite Documentation Javascript Sidebar(First time Only) User Img Reports(Create Only) After loaded: There is a Post Upgrade BP that is run automatically after the upgrade. For NetPartner Accounts it will automatically Compile all the Tables and Menus so you no longer should need to do them manually. To be sure that this program ran you will need to check the following 1. Veirfy Table W3QUOTE_TABLE Prompt 1.07 Set AutoReturn to N;N Prompt 3 Set Default to DATE() 2. If you are using a CUSTOM Default Header Template, you must copy over or move logic from the standard template. To check if you have a custom template: Go to the Utility Flag menu #80, Then select Netpartner/Webparter Select NetPartner Flags, at Prompt #8 if it does not say ABBA then you are using a custom template. If you do not feel you need the custom you can just change the flag to ABBA If you need the custom template still, you must copy over the function catchSubmit from W3HTML ABBA.HEADFOOT.HTM(Lines 40-48) to your Default Template NAME.HEADFOOT.HTM, where NAME is the value in the Flag Table. Features and Additions: 1. Netpartner addition of Management Reports for AP, AR, BM, JC, OE, PC, PO, QT 2. Additional NetPartner Reporting Logs are on the W31 Menu 3. UTILITIES UPGRADE MENU(UTU) has additional Options to clean up uneeded data. 4. NetPartner Dynamic Page Updates - IE 5.5+ or Netscape 6.2+ only This will enable the Page to be updated with data without refreshing the screen. To set the flag you must go to UTF Menu #80,#8,#1 and at Prompt #31 Answer "Y". After this you must re-compile the tables. 5. Netpartner Advanced Keyword Logic that allows Searching by partial keywords. For this you must first rebuild the Cross Reference Data by going to UTR #30 and selecting #5. Once rebuilt on keyword search you can enter in a partial keyword and it will select all keywords that contain that string. Note: search keyword must be at least 2 charactors. **** R1 - 07/13/03
